Hullavington Community Café & Pub News

A massive thanks to all who took part in our photoshoot yesterday evening. The weather was superb. We are going to feature in the local press next week following an interview with a journalist yesterday afternoon.

If you would like to find out more about how the project is going, pop along to the Village Hall and you will find them in the foyer and at the Church fete on the 8th June. The boards are proving very popular as they visually showed developing layout & design plans, with a mood board showing the sympathetic way the Stables could be fitted out.  Sample menus showcased a mouth watering range of food that could be offered for breakfast, lunch, in the evenings, for themed events, takeaways, etc.  As well as providing a ‘look and feel’, we were able to demonstrate the community support from the Survey, local businesses, the Parish Council and MPs.

There will be comment cards available, and we welcome ALL feedback as this is how we will continue to develop the proposition.

From feedback, we know that not everyone has had a chance to pledge to buy Shares yet and whilst our match funding is progressing, we still need more pledges of support.  This means pledging to buy shares in The Stables should we win the funding from the Community Ownership Fund (COF).  At this stage it is just a pledge, no money is taking hands.  We are just halfway to our target of £95,000.

Minimum share investment is  £25, with the average pledge currently being £370 per person, but all pledges are valued.  Buying shares means you become a member of the Hullavington Community Benefit Society and this gives you a direct say in how the café and pub will be run as well as having an equal vote regardless of how many shares people hold.  Please use the QR or link below to make your pledges

You may use the following link to complete the Survey https://forms.gle/GMbaJ4AQMRxR8qwVA or if you simply want to pledge at this time without filling in the survey, then follow this link: https://www.hullavingtonhall.org.uk/pledge-form

We also have a fantastic fundraising group working with organisations and local businesses, trying to secure support, so if you can help in this way, either financially, or by volunteering your services, then please let us know by emailing hullavingtoncommunity@gmail.com .

The Save our Pub website is in the process of being ‘refreshed’ so that we can share more visual information e.g., design layouts, mood boards presentation slides, etc, whilst also giving details of upcoming events.  Further information to follow shortly, but for now information is available at https://www.hullavingtonhall.org.uk/help-us-to-save-our-pub/

TOGETHER WE CAN PUT THE STABLES AT THE HEART OF OUR VILLAGE.
